New York, NY – SCA Performance, Inc. (“SCA” or the “Company”), a portfolio company of Kinderhook Industries, LLC (“Kinderhook”), announced today the acquisition of Rocky Mountain Truckworks (“RMT”), a leading OEM authorized specialty vehicle manufacturer (“SVM”) for light-duty trucks. RMT represents Kinderhook’s 71st automotive-related transaction. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Trussville, Alabama, SCA is a leading OEM authorized SVM for light-duty trucks. The Company receives new vehicles directly from the OEM’s, adds specialty packages and then sells the up-fitted vehicles to new truck dealers with a full OEM warranty. SCA’s vehicles are differentiated by their proprietary premium design packages, high-quality installations and OEM warranty.

Based in Fort Collins, CO, Rocky Mountain Truckworks is a direct competitor of SCA and an OEM authorized SVM for GM and RAM light-duty trucks. Similar to SCA, RMT receives new vehicles directly from OEMs, then in turn sells up-fitted vehicles directly to new truck dealerships. Simultaneously with closing the transaction, SCA has opened a new facility in Fort Collins to house the Western U.S. production needs of RMT and SCA. The RMT shareholders will roll a portion of their sale proceeds into an equity stake in SCA, and former RMT employee Preston Hess will remain involved in operations going forward as SCA’s General Manager.
